Online Application

The application form includes questions about your personal information, education, and your seminar and colloquium preferences. To fill in the application, if you are an affiliate participant, you need to have ready a current CV, a writing sample, a graduate transcript or a copy of your PhD diploma and (optional) a zip file (not .rar!) with your financial aid statement (if the case). Non-affiliate participants can choose also to request a letter of recommendation. The application includes a part where you can give us the name and email address of your recommender. The system sends automatically a notification to your selected recommender. With the exception of the financial aid statement, it is preferable that all other documents be in PDF format.

Nota bene! Applicants from this year’s host institutions (Berlin University Alliance institutions and the University of Oxford) will automatically be considered for a limited number of sponsored places, for which tuition fees are waived. Applicants from these institutions should indicate in their financial aid statement whether they still want to be considered for participation in the summer school at the affiliate tuition rate ($900) even if they are not selected for a sponsored place. This will not affect your chance of being considered for sponsorship.
